Bello Haven Salon in Johnstown sets grand opening June 21

Bello Haven Salon will celebrate its grand opening at 4868 Larimer Parkway in Johnstown with a Johnstown Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting at noon June 21 and a party from 5 to 10 p.m.

The event will feature live music, food and drinks, giveaways and vendors, according to a press release from Bello Haven.

The new beauty salon location was built from the ground up, according to the release, and designed by interior-design specialists from Spring Haus. It features 12-foot-high floor-to-ceiling mirrors, two lash rooms and 15 stylist stations.

The salon offers haircuts, coloring, blowouts, hand-tied and I-Tip hair extensions, microblading, permanent makeup, eyelash extensions, spray tans, professional makeup and more, the release said.

Owner Melissa Higman, who has worn hair extensions since she was 16, developed "the original 2-gram memory I-Tip with double the thickness of any other extension on the market."

Her Bello Haven Hair Extension line is now available in more than 80 salons, and she offers monthly certification classes to teach her methods. The human-hair extensions are applied without the use of heat, chemicals or glue, according to the release.
