Del Mar salon shines with premium hair extensions – San Diego Union-Tribune

Luxury full-service salon Addendum Salon is sweeping clients away with its line of premium hair extensions.

Shop owner Lisa Ha, a stylist with over 20 years of experience, opened the salon in 2015 in Del Mar Heights.

A Bellus Academy graduate, she said she had grown tired of renting booths at local salons that eventually closed and wanted to find a permanent home where she could grow her business.

“I wanted a space where… I could cultivate and build a team with all the things that I found through my career,” she said. “There was a gap in the industry that I wanted to fill with the spa and with a hair-extension line.”

Ha said she had struggled to find hair extensions that were the right fit for her fine hair, so she decided to create her own brand.

Addendum Hair’s hand-tied extensions are high-density, silicone-free and sold per weft, instead of through a pre-packaged bundle or box. Extensions can last up to one year.

The salon sells, installs and styles the extensions. Consultations are free and can be booked online.

Ha said she and her team want to take care of clients throughout their hair journey.

The salon prioritizes scalp health and hair-extension care to help clients get the most out of their new locks. Addendum also offers color, cut, styling and blowout services.

Educational classes are held regularly at the salon for hair professionals.

“A ton of my clients are successful business owners, entrepreneurs,” said Ha. “They’ve seen my growth throughout the years and they’re just so proud and it’s really cool.”
